During the early to mid-'80's, I recall fond memories of working at PACE Consulting in West Hartford. Lang Johnon was the Principal in Charge along with Bill Peelle, Gary Brooks, Doug Bucy, Raleigh Minor, Al Haemer, Mike Mixter Glenn Black and numerous others. Margaret Bishop, Connie Morin and I provided secretarial support services. It was a great atmosphere, contantly busy with the exception those Friday afternoons when many of the "Consultants" exited to the Fernwood Restaurant for weekly catch-up lunches. Lang Johnson was a man of few words. When he spoke, all listened intently. Respectfully dignified, he ran an exceptionally "tight ship" but always made himself "available" when situations arose requiring immediate attention.
Knowing I had a home built in 1849, he mentioned Mrs. J's affiliation with an antiques shop that became one of our favorite places to visit . We acquired several unique items that we've enjoyed over the years. Apparently, Lang was also a talented craftsman. Still have a Xmas ornament ---hand carved bird resting in a vine nest that continues to make an appearance on our yearly holiday tree. Thanks, Lang, for many fond memories of working for The Pace Consulting Group. Florence M. Guite
Would appreciate hearing from any of those mentioned above. I can be reached at flojackguite@cox.net.
